Wondering about what skills you can offer? Below is a suggested skills list - it's not exhaustive-whatever you have to offer could be just what someone needs. No offer of help is too small or too great. Anything and everything that helps a community help itself is included. It's just a prompt, offer whatever you are happy to do.
The actual skills on offer by members to date are listed in our 'Favour Directory' - scroll down a little and see the right hand side of this page. Alternatively, just above the 'Favour Directory' is a 'Search this Site' box where you can search for any term or skill (or member) you want. If it is offered, the relevant page links will appear above.

| Treat your fellow exchangers to home baking |
As James Taris says in his Letsaholic Twist book (free to CFE members), once an exchange system gets going, the kinds of things people end up doing for each other are very broad. Help with everyday jobs like ironing or cleaning is always needed - or help with hobbies like how to play the guitar or dance the salsa. You might have knowledge to share, advice on accounting or computer maintenance, or how to look after pets or animals.

We aim to think of ourselves as good neighbours as well as people who have skills or any type of help to offer. A range of favours gives members an opportunity to start exchanging with you. If you have suggestions of skills and favours to add to this list, please let us know.
The CFE Helping Hand and Car Symbols
The central aim of the Clonakilty Favour Exchange is to make a contribution to our local community in a spirit of generosity and mutual support. To help foster this ethos we are encouraging as many members as possible not just to offer their skills and expertese but, if they are willing, to display the 'Helping Hand' symbol on their member's page as well.
The Helping Hand means that members are ready to help other members with everyday chores - ordinary things like cleaning, putting up a picture, pet minding - the things that people need help with from time to time. We also have a car symbol for members willing to give lifts or drop things off.
